ESRI Environmental Systems Research Institute Vendor of the ArcGIS family of software tools.
OGC Open Geospatial Consortium (previously the Open GIS Consortium) a non-profit, international, voluntary consensus standards organization that is leading the development of standards for geospatial and location based services.
OpenGIS A registered trademark of the OGC q.v., used as an umbrella term for several of their standards, notably:
- WMS - Web Map Service
- WFS - Web Feature Service
- GML - Geography Markup Language
